Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from my family to yours!
It is hard to believe that yet another year has passed by us so quickly. If it had been like any other year we would have another baby on the way already (or actually here already) but hooray for us! We finally figured this NFP thing out! We would love to have another beautiful baby to add to our berry bunch, but for right now, our 3 beautiful boys are just enough for us.
I have always found in the past the New Year's resolutions are a waste of time. Mostly because I know in from the start that I'm not going to follow through with it. Just like every year this year I swear I'm actually going to esablish and maintain a workout routine (I'm not getting any younger and my metabolism won't last forever). But this year I'm also going to work really hard on finding a better balance between family and "work". And by work I mean all the crafting that I do and love that makes me little to no money.
There are days I feel I have absolutely no time to work on the many project piled up on my desk, and other days when I feel like I spend too much time on my projects, and not enough time with my children. This year I am going to create a schedule for myself to make sure that first and formost my children are getting all the love and attention that they deserve, but also that I have time to sew and crochet and keep the house somewhat organized. I know that creating an effective schedule will take some time, but to be the kind of mommy I want to be, and the kind of mommy that my boys deserve, I know that a balance must be obtained.
What resoutions do you have for the new year?

SATC

Thanks to Wm Rowe

I have been on a serious DVR kick lately. I’ve been too busy to watch much live TV, so I’ve been recording a ton of shows. I took a quick peek at my DVR the other day and I only had about 10% empty. I knew that if I didn’t start watching my recorded shows it would stop recording my usual shows. I sat down and watched an entire block of Sex and the City one Saturday, and it was glorious. I really miss that show. I kind of went into a period of mourning when it went off the air, and I’m so excited that the Style network has started to show them on constant repeat. The only problem is that I’ve wasted entirely too many Saturday afternoons watching it when I could have been accomplishing more important things around the house. That’s a small price to pay though for a few hours of watching one of the best shows in recent history. Check out the Style network on Direct TV to see if you agree it’s a pretty awesome show.

Rock Band

Over Thanksgiving Break the boys wanted to play Lego Rock Band with daddy.

So Dan dug out the drums and guitars and micorphone.
I think we have some talent on our hands.
The took turns playing each instrument and rocking out.
Ronan wants a guitar for Christmas. He's going to pee his pants when he sees what Mamaw Berry got for him.
Dylan got in on the action. He'll make a great drummer some day.

I wanted to take a video of them playing, but I can't figure out how to on my new camera. You would think turning it to video would do the trick. Time to dig out the instructions.

check it out

Healthy Baby Boutique

A few weeks ago I talked to the owner of a local boutique called Healthy Baby Boutique about selling some of my items in her shop. Kendra, the owner, is super sweet and friendly and said she'd love to have some of my baby items. So this morning the boys and I loaded up some hats, headbands, bracelets and sNuggle Me Blankies and took them in to Healthy Baby Boutique! I'm so excited! Hopefully my items are well recieved by customers and I can start to earny a semi-regular paycheck.
For those of you that live close, be sure to stop by and check out all the goodies that Kendra has to offer!
Oh, and don't forget to "like" her on facebook.

Botanica with Friends

Last weekend we went to Botanica with some friends to visit the new Children's Garden. It is amazing! There are so many cool things for the kids to explore that I'm pretty sure it could have kept them entertained all day.
There are stepping stones to cross.

Water pumps with water toys.

Musical instraments. This is one where you pour rocks into the hole and they hit little tines on the way down making fun tones.
A cave with water and paint brushes.
Dylan of course took a spill intot he river that runs through the cave.

 Bridges to play on.
 Bugs to sit on.

There are tons of other things to play on as well, and even dress up clothes! Hopefully in the spring we will make it back for another visit.

And of course at the end we had to visit the butterfly house.
