Ronan's 3rd Birthday

Nearly 2 weeks ago (I'm so behind) my little middle turned 3. I can not believe that he is 3 years old already. Time sure does fly when you are having fun.
We have a tradition (which I love) of decorating the house the night before the boys' birthdays after they go to bed. I love to see their faces when they wake up and see streamers and balloons hanging all over the house.

Before Dan left for work we let Ronan open 2 presents. 1: The Fresh Beat Band album and 2: an apron that I made for him.
Ronan then helped me make his giant birthday cookie (another tradition I love! We save the cake for the birthday party)

Daddy came home early and brought McDonald's for lunch.
And then Ronan opened the rest of his presents. His favorite? A squeegie. Yup. A squeegie. He's been asking for one since December when we went on a Christmas lights limo tour. They had them in the limo to clean the windows so you could see and he fell in love.
A little after 3:00 Mamaw came over to watch Dylan and the 4 of us headed to Salina to see The Fresh Beat Band in Concert. The boys are obsessed with this show.

The day after Ronan's birthday he litteraly spent 30 minutes cleaning the front storm door with his new squeegie. He kept askin me to spray it for him and then he would squeegie and wipe. The kid is silly.
I'll post later about his super awesome dinosaur birthday party.
He's growing up so fast I can hardly stand it. He still throws major fits when things don't go his way, but when he's happy (which is most of the time) he's silly and crazy and loving and funny and I still can't believe he's mine.
Happy Birthday Ronasaurus Rex! I love you!

Healthy Heros!

Yesterday, we took the 2 older boys to see Elmo's Healthy Heros at the Intrust Bank Arena. We had so. much. fun. I was a little worried that Ronan wouldn't like it because we met Elmo over spring break and he was terrified. Our seats yesterday, however, were all the way at the top so there was no fear of the red furry monster trying to hug him.

We got our tickets to the show for free for allowing a friend to do a fire safety talk. Way worth it to inform our family of potential fire hazards in our home, even without the tickets.

Super Grover! He lost his superness :(
The dancing Irish sheep were Dan's favorite

Super Grover found his superness! All he needed to do was sleep, eat healthy, and take a bath!

Party Time!

On Saturday we celebrated Ronan's 2nd birthday with a small party of friends and family. Ronan really loves Blue's Clues, which was a very fun theme for his party.

I made invitations that looked like the Handy Dandy Notebook.

They took a bit of work, but I think it was worth it in the end.

To prepare for the party we decorated the house with blue streamers and balloons and lots of Blue's friends.

I made blue puppy ears for all of our friends to wear.

And crearted a few games to keep the kids busy.

We played "Pin the Flag on Mailbox"

Beanbag toss with Shovel and Pail. The kids each got to take a beanbag home. Yes, I made them.

Dressed up the Felt Friends

and colored pictures of Blue and her friends.

After games we ate cupcakes and icecream before winding down the party.

We had so much fun with all of our friends and are so thankful that they all came to play!

After our friends left the family stucck around for gifts and dinner.
Dan made a pot of chili and one of chicken and noodle soup (sorry, no pictures). It was fabulous!

Happy Birthday Ronan!

I can't even believe that an entire year has gone by so quickly. My sweet baby Ronan is big 1 year old today. It is amazing how much your life changes when you have children, and how the love in your heart can expand. Ronan has been such a blessing and a joy in our lives. He is so loving and fun and I can't imagine not having him. He starts my day off right when I get him out of bed and he lays his head on my shoulder and pats my back. Such a snuggler.

We started our day off right this morning with chocolate chip pancakes and chocolate milk for breakfast.
Then Collin gave Ronan his gift. 2 Busy Town books.
After daddy got home we took a trip to the store and let Ronan pick out an Elmo doll to snuggle with. Collin always has Manny and doesn't like to share. Now Ronan has his own snuggle toy. When we got home, Ronan opened his gifts while the pizza cooked.
This is the cake that I made for him. The kid LOVES Elmo! We have a tradition of not letting our children have sweets until their first birthday. This cake was entirely for Ronan, aside from the small slice he shared with Collin.
I think it's safe to say he enjoyed his cake!
And this is what it looked like just before he finished.
Time to get clean!
What a fun day!
Happy Birthday sweet boy! We love you!
